Tanzania has been such an amazing experience. Being able to shed all of modern society’s technology is completely liberating. There is no worrying about who’s posting on Facebook, a new YouTube video, or about the release of AP scores. Instead, it is just simple human interactions with these great villagers. They have taught me more than I could ever hope for. Seeing the little kids so happy and care free with something as simple as a rolled-up plastic ball compared to our iPhones and TVs makes me feel so warm and proud that I am helping build a school so that they can further their education and opportunities in life. I am so blessed to be working alongside such kind hearted people. The fact that people with such a variety of backgrounds, education, and personalities can share a common desire to better the world. This is definitely the best summer of my life.
